Teaching

"Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself."
Chinese Proverb

I have worked professionally as a college instructor (computer science), but I have been teaching all my life. It is part of my nature is to help others and to share information. Even as a child I was helping and teaching peers and adults alike.

I started teaching music as a young teen, both privately and through church programs. Beginning in my twenties, I started teaching through Salvation Army music camps and also took on educational positions during my undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph.

I bring a teacher's heart to every role and many skills which been grown and expanded simply for the joy of sharing with others.

Teaching Samples

The examples provided here are teaching samples specifically tied to the educational side of my emerging brand, Foundational Things.

While Foundational Things has had to take a bit of a pause, many skills in teaching and other areas are demonstrated in this body of work.
